Privacy Policy

Sheilift Aesthetics respects your privacy. This Policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use it, and what choices you have. It applies to sheiliftaesthetics.com and the services we provide at our studio.
1. What We Collect
We only collect what we need to run your appointment safely and well:
Information you give us when booking
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Service selected, date, and time
- Notes you choose to share (skin concerns, allergies, recent treatments, first-time status, etc.)
Payment information
Card details are entered directly with Stripe, our payment processor. We never see, store, or have access to your full card number. Stripe sends us only a confirmation that payment succeeded plus the last 4 digits of your card and an internal payment ID.
Automatic information
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) logs technical information when you visit, including IP address, browser type, the pages you load, and the date/time. These logs are retained for a short period and used only for security and troubleshooting.
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising tracker. We do not sell your information.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To confirm and prepare for your appointment.
- To send you a booking confirmation, reminders, and any updates about your visit.
- To process your deposit and the balance due at your appointment.
- To personalize your service (e.g., remember your skin history if you book again).
- To send occasional updates about new services or seasonal promotions — but only if you opt in.
- To respond to inquiries you send by email.
3. Who We Share Your Information With
We share the minimum amount of information needed with a small number of trusted service providers, each bound by their own privacy obligations:
- Stripe — payment processing. stripe.com/privacy
- Resend — sends transactional emails (booking confirmations, cancellations) and any marketing emails you opt into. resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Google Workspace — Shay reads and replies to your booking emails through her Google Workspace inbox.
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure for the website. vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone for marketing purposes. We may disclose information when legally required (court order, subpoena) or to protect the safety of clients or the studio.
4. Marketing Emails
We will not send you marketing emails unless you specifically opt in (for example, by checking a newsletter-signup box). Every marketing email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Transactional emails about a specific booking are not promotional and cannot be unsubscribed without canceling your booking.
5. Cookies & Tracking
Our website uses only the cookies strictly necessary to make it work (e.g., session cookies for navigation). We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
If you click a link inside a marketing email we send you, Resend may temporarily redirect through links.sheiliftaesthetics.com to log the click. This is used only for our internal email-performance analytics and is not shared with any third party.
6. How Long We Keep Your Information
- Booking records (name, email, phone, service notes): kept for up to 5 years after your last appointment so we can look up your history if you return.
- Payment records (last 4 of card, Stripe payment ID): retained as required by Stripe and U.S. tax law — typically 7 years.
- Email logs: retained by Resend for up to 30 days, then deleted.
- Server access logs: retained by Vercel for typically 30 days, then deleted.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's inaccurate.
- Delete your information (we'll honor this unless we're legally required to keep it, e.g., tax records of past transactions).
- Withdraw consent for photography, marketing, or any other optional use.
- Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email hey@sheiliftaesthetics.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
8. Children
Our services are intended for clients 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If we discover we have, we'll delete it immediately.
9. Security
We protect your information using industry-standard measures: TLS encryption on our website, encrypted environment variables for sensitive keys, and reputable service providers (Stripe, Resend, Google Workspace, Vercel) for payment, email, and hosting. No system is perfectly secure; please don't share extremely sensitive information (passwords, social security numbers, etc.) in your booking notes.
10. Florida Residents
Florida residents have additional rights under Florida's consumer-data laws. You may submit a data-rights request by emailing hey@sheiliftaesthetics.com.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated by email to anyone with an active booking.
